Closeout Sale! Royal Doulton Drake or Character Jug made in 1942.

Attributed to Harry Fenton, the renowned Royal Doulton Toby Jug designer, this piece was produced in 1942. It features the character Drake. Sir Francis Drake was a famous English admiral during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. He is best known for leading the English fleet to defeat the Spanish Armanda in 1588.

This piece is in lovely condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It is hand painted and the colors are bold and bright. It stands 3 1/4 inches tall and is 3 7/8 inches wide. The maker's mark is clearly imprinted and the date code verifies the production year. (14 = 1942)
