This box figurine is the concept of Robin Davis, winner of the House of Peers' 2001 Design A Jest Contest. A group of kittens have discovered a new toy – a toilet. The back of the bathroom fixture is inscribed with the name of its legendary inventor, Thomas Crapper. A newspaper, essential reading, can be seen tucked down the back of the loo. The mouse, including a rare view of his bottom, is hidden away in the tissue. On the lid is the inscription AD4 NYY3, referring to the Arizona Diamondback’s four games to three win over the New York Yankees in the 2001 World Series. The interior of the Version One shows two alligators, in reference to the urban myths of alligators breeding in the sewers. The Version Infinity interior shows another cat in the bowl in place of the alligators.
There is no damage on this piece and it comes with its original box.
