Peter Calvesbert’s wry sense of humor is very evident in "Refuse-d Collection (One Man’s Treasure)." Peter happened across a photograph of an unusual example of artistic expression: A "pile" of dustbin bags, fashioned in bronze, selling for £80,000 at a trendy art gallery in London. The imaginative name of this piece? "Pile." Peter incorporated his own likeness into the piece, wondering aloud, "When will it be my turn to be thrown on the scrapheap?" The Hutton Report, considered by some British be a whitewash of the David Kelly affair, is a prominent part of the bag's eclectic assortment of refuse. Inside Peter's bag is that lover of trash bin-bag food scraps – the urban fox. Each of the 9 versions produced feature a different bag color, as well as its own unique creature creating a sneaky escape route for itself by poking its head through the rear of the bag!
