Peter Pointer’s skill meant that trade in artfully made “Boots and Shoes for the Discerning Customer” was always brisk. What was the secret behind his breath-taking work? One evening Peter’s wife stole into the workshop and hid behind a curtain. As the town clock struck midnight two elves ran in and gleefully set about their work. Unfortunately on leaving she left the door ajar and her cat, White Heather, wandered in. She found such a wonderful boot on the table – so warm and snug. She climbed in and settled down for a nap. But what was that scuttling? Immediately awake she looked around – mice? She hated mice, and she was hungry too. Perhaps she should have a look around before settling down again….this piece is named for Queen Victoria’s beloved royal pet, White Heather, a fluffy angora who was never far from Her Majesty’s side. The artist’s signature acorn is hidden in the texture on the boot.

There is no damage on this piece and it comes with its original box.
